The tax situation in Maine is unbearable. Maine is one of the highest property taxed states in the nation according to income level, is the highest business tax state in nation, as well as being one of the highest taxed states overall. This is not “the way life should be,” and it needs to change.

In our area, Lois Snowe-Mello has had a sincere interest in reducing the tax burden and improving our economy overall. Lois believes strongly that in order to have a vibrant economy, we must lower our taxes. For eight years, Lois has been a voice of reason in the House, and would continue that as a member of the Senate. Lois works for us all, the working families, as well as the retired. The time for change is now, and the only way to make that change is to elect Lois Snowe-Mello to the state Senate.
