LEWISTON – Muriel L. Hall, 72, a resident of Lewiston, died Saturday morning at her home surrounded by her family, following a lingering illness.
She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Lewiston, the daughter of Thomas and Roseanna Moreau Lebel. She attended Lewiston schools. She worked at many shoe shops in the Lewiston area, Jimmy’s Diner, and for the past 14 years, at Marden’s Warehouse. She worked until Sept. 27, 2004.
On March 17, 1950, she married Gordon J. Hall of Lewiston. Her beloved husband passed away Sept. 11, 1989.
She was a member of the New Auburn Legion, Post #153.
She is survived by one son, Andrew J. Hall and his companion, Lucille, of Lewiston; a daughter, Catherine S. Hall Gagnon and her companion, Doug Grabowski, of Poland; three grandchildren, Kevin S. Gagnon and his companion, Lorraine, of South Portland, David J. Carney of Poland, and Jeanne Marie Hall of Lewiston; and a great-granddaughter, Jayden Rose Gagnon, due in December; and two sisters, Rita Bechard of Lewiston, and Gertrude Crowley of Litchfield. She will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law, Mavis Walker of Monmouth, and Marion Biron of Florida; brothers-in-law, Robert Hall and his wife, Elaine, of Lisbon, Walter “Jock” Hall and his wife, Alice, of Florida, and Raymond Whitehouse of Sabattus; best friends, Doris and Bob Bruder of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Jacqueline Whitehouse, Cecile Brown, Pat Frappier, and Lena Frappier; and two brothers, Armand Lebel, and Rene “Pete” Lebel.
