This is not just because of the confusion about the women in the jails of Iraq and their release. This administration has been confused from the first day in Iraq. They had no idea of what they were about to open.

Afghanistan, I understand, and anyone in office would have done the same after Sept. 11.

Iraq is a different story. American men and women are dying because we are “staying the course.” We are not liberators, we are invaders and we now will have to live with the consequences for years. We, as Americans, are now looked down upon everywhere in the world because of our arrogance. Not ours in general, but George W. Bush’s and Dick Cheney’s toward other countries.

If we stay the course, I think it’s time for the Bush twins to enlist in the armed forces. And please, no serving in Texas or Alabama. Make them serve alongside all of our soldiers in Iraq, and maybe that will finally open the president’s eyes to see what most other Americans see.

I hope Bush gets to kick up the old boots on the porch rail in Texas in January and collect his life benefits.

Sad thing is, I voted for him the first time, and I hope he does not have a second time around. Anyone but him.
