I would like to bring up the road work they have done on Sabattus Street and other areas.

I am glad that the city finally decided to repair the streets, sidewalks and streetlights. My problem is – and I am sure it concerns others – that it’s hard to get in and out of our driveways on Sabattus Street. We’re afraid someone in a hurry is going to ram into us.

People have used Sabattus Street as a speedway, speeding up and down like this was their own personal racetrack or the turnpike.

This was going on before the roadwork, and now it still continues.

There are always fender benders here and car accidents, plus people running the stoplights, so that people who are on foot in the crosswalk nearly lose their lives.

This pertains to any type of vehicle or motorcycle.

I do not understand why the police cannot at least have one cruiser sit in this area and try to put a stop to these people who never seem to stop their unlawful behavior.

I hear loud screeching of tires day and night as if someone is about to ram into another. My only hope is that no one gets seriously hurt or worse.
