TURNER – Two Maine Driving Dynamics classes will be offered this semester by SAD 52 Adult and Community Education. The first will be held Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 5 and 7, and the second Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 18. Both will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Leavitt Area High School.
The course, taught by Jeff Ward, offers drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. It will include discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes and the basic elements that challenge drivers on Maine’s highways.
The format engages students with lectures, videos and class discussion/participation. Persons completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record.

The Leavitt Area High School weight room will be open from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning Monday, Oct. 4. Fern Beaucage will be there to monitor the equipment and give advice. Sign up by calling the SAD 52 Adult Ed office. The registration fee is $10.
