AUBURN – The Auburn Lewiston Kiwanis Club recently inducted two members to the 82-year-old community service organization. Dan Goff, right, president of the club, welcomes Carol Edens, left, and Patti Gagne, center, to the club.
Edens is manager for the Auburn Savings and Loan Association branch soon to be located on Sabattus Street in Lewiston, and Gagne is the owner of the Patti Gagne All State Agency on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. Both will join the Kiwanis Community Service Committee.
The Kiwanis is most known for the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, but it is the proceeds from the fund-raiser that provide donations to a variety of community services. The club supports youth leadership through two high school Key Clubs, college scholarships, museum passes available at both libraries of the Twin Cities, reading books for the Longley School, and several other local and worldwide services.
The club meets at noon Wednesdays at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center. The public is welcome to join the club and serve “Young Children: Priority One.” For more information, call Roy Ulrickson, Membership Committee chairman, at Neokraft Signs, 782-9654.
