LEWISTON – Anne-Marie E. Janelle, 90, formerly of 241 Meadowview, died Sunday, Oct. 3, at Marshwood Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lewiston, Nov. 27, 1913, a daughter of Reginald and Alma Croteau Janelle, she was educated in Lewiston schools.
Miss Janelle was a member of Holy Family Parish and worked at Bates Manufacturing Co. for 49 years and at St. Mary’s Hospital in the dietary department for 15 years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and will be remembered for her many acts of kindness and dedication to her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She believed in the importance of maintaining family ties and therefore hosted several family get-togethers over the years.
She is survived by her four sisters, Priscilla Labonte, of Lewiston, Mrs. Bertrand (Germaine) Doyon, of Auburn, Mrs. Ronald (Therese Blouin), of San Diego, Calif., and Blanche Wilson, of Chesapeake, Va.; her brother, Reginald, and his wife, Joanne Janelle, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Eva Gagne, Elsie Sirois, and Victoria Caron; and five brothers, Laurier, Laureat, George, Adrien, and William Janelle.
