FARMINGTON – The Community Concepts Transportation Department sponsored the recent appearance of Buckle Bear at the Farmington Fair. Buckle Bear, provided by the Maine Bureau of Health’s Injury Prevention Program, helps to educate children about how to properly use child safety seats, seat belts, helmets and other safety equipment.

Buckle Bear greeted visitors to the fair, especially children, encouraging them to buckle up when riding in a car. Buckle also promotes bicycle and pedestrian safety.
