RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Jackie Newton Chappell (Bowles), 76, of Riverview Fla., and formerly Sarasota, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 20.
Born in Turner, Feb. 27, 1928, she was the daughter of Hazen and Ester McAllister.
She moved to Sarasota in 1955 and was a homemaker.
She loved country music, square dancing and her gardening. She lived for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby; daughters, Cheryl Vogelsong, and Terri Johnson; stepdaughters, Donna Rohman, and Debbie Bolds; a son, Barry Bowles; stepson, Earl Chappell; sisters, Betty Bennett and Polly Smullin; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
