MEXICO – Pauline M. Gogan, 79, wife of Maurice E. Gogan, of 7 Black Bridge Rd., died Monday, Oct. 4, at the Victoria Villa Nursing Home in Canton.

She was born Jan. 24, 1925 in Rumford, the daughter of Napoleon and Alma Hebert Pepin Sr.

A resident of this community all of her life, she was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church and was educated in local schools.

She was employed at Diamond Match in Peru and also worked at Freddie’s Restaurant as a waitress and at the Linnell Motel in the laundry.

Mrs. Gogan was a member of LeParasseur Snowshoe Club, The Women’s Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, The Ladies Auxiliary of the Robert Shand Post No. 1641 VFW, The Ladies Auxiliary of the Napoleon Ouellette Post No. 24 of the American Legion, and the Rumford Senior Citizens where she was a caller at the bingo games.

Surviving besides her husband of 58 years, are two sisters, Anita Goudreau, of Montreal, P.Q., and Bertha Moerson, of Wheaton, Md.; two brothers, Roger Pepin, of Rumford, and Paul Pepin Jr., of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
