LEWISTON – Rita J. Pratt, 73, died Monday, Oct. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was formerly of Mexico for many years and had been residing in Livermore Falls since May of this year.

Born in Rumford on June 2, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Edwin A. and Annie Marie (Levesque) Longley.

She was a graduate of Stephens High School with the class of 1949.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church, member of Rolling Dozen Bowling League, Canton Rebekahs Lodge, and Mexico Mother’s Club.

She loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and camping.

She was married in Mexico on Nov. 24, 1951 to the late Alfred L. Pratt, who died in Mexico on Oct. 10, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph A. Pratt, of Dixfield, and Paul I. Pratt, and his wife, Dawn, of Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Debbie “Rita” Burgess, and her husband, Robert, of Livermore Falls, and Mrs. Kimberly Jordan, and her husband, Bruce, of Turner; two sisters, Jeannette Chenery, of Andover, and Nancy Brackett, of Portland; two brothers, James Longley, and his wife, Juanita, of Lewiston, and Joseph Longley, and his wife Gini, of Jay; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Douglas Pratt.
