OXFORD – Glenna D. Dresser, 62, of Webberbrook Road, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 4, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Portland, Feb. 8, 1942, the daughter of Walter D. and Dorothy E. Linnell Johnson.

She was educated at Otisfield Central School and attended South Paris High School. She later graduated from Oxford Hills High School with her daughter, Bonnie, in 1983.

Glenna was a homemaker. She also worked for area shoe shops and at home doing stitching and hand lacing. She was an area representative for Avon for many years.

She enjoyed crafts and working with her hands. Rug braiding and paper-piecing were her latest endeavors. She enjoyed teaching crafts and held many craft parties at her home. She loved to play games and was especially good at Scrabble. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

She was a very compassionate person and was more than willing to help anyone in need. She was a member of the 4-H Club and attended sewing circle with her mother. She also attended the Otisfield Free Baptist Church and sang in the choir.

Glenna lived in the Otisfield, Norway, Harrison, Oxford area all of her life.

She married Roy O. Dresser on Aug. 23, 1958; they later divorced.

She is survived by one son, Gerry G. Dresser and his fiance, Stacey A. Raymond, of Bolsters Mills; two daughters, Charlotte C. Bolduc, and her companion, Michael H. Rose, of Arlington, Mass., and Bonnie S. Pedersen, and her husband, John, of Whitefield; five grandchildren, Danielle Bolduc, Cory and Ryan Pedersen, and Devon and Danielle Richards; two sisters, her twin, Glenice Henderson, and her husband, Quinton, of Otisfield, and Sharon L. Bannister, of Lewiston; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion and friend, Harold Moore, of Oxford.
