STRONG – The Best Buy Supply will be open from 7:30 to 8 a.m. starting Friday, Oct. 8, and every Friday in the Strong School rotunda. The fourth- and fifth-grade store has helped raise money for the new playground, which is now in use.

The group will start on another project – raising money for the grades kindergarten through five computer lab.

The store, which has pencils, erasers and sharpeners, has been successful for two years.

Firemen to meet

INDUSTRY – The Franklin County Firemen’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Industry Fire Station, Route 148. Members and guests are invited. The speaker will be Mike Brooks of Auburn, who will talk about his experience at the Death Valley Marathon last summer.

After the regular business meeting there will be refreshments, drawing for door prizes and an opportunity to tour the new station. There are important business items to discuss. For more information, call 778-3235.
