LIVERMORE FALLS – Members of the Planning Board were presented with a complex situation Wednesday involving a request from the owners of L & R Trailer Park on Route 17 to expand slightly.

The owners, Rick and Leola Webster of Chesterville, want to add a mobile home for his mother to their four-unit mobile home park. But the L& R park was approved by the state before the town’s regulations went into effect.

The Websters have purchased a lot bordering the trailer park on which to place the fifth mobile home.

It must now be determined if the new lot is part of the park – and an extension can be granted – and if the park would then fall under town regulations for trailer parks.

The other possibility is that the new lot is separate and must conform to the town’s road frontage requirements (150 feet), which it doesn’t have.

No decision was made at the meeting.

Code Enforcement Officer Brenda Medcoff is to continue researching the situation through the Maine Municipal Association.

The board also reviewed the proposed new adult-only businesses ordinance that will go to the town voters Nov. 2.
