KINGFIELD – Selectman John Dill said names of three suspects were anonymously provided to the town in a criminal mischief case that occurred earlier this week. Profane words were spray painted across West Kingfield Road sometime Monday, he said, and the “efficient public works crew” diligently paved over the offending graffiti the following day.

Sheriff’s Deputy David Rackliffe investigated the report received Wednesday.

Dill knew one of the suspects who, he said, was a juvenile.

In September, several trees in Community Park behind Webster Hall had several branches broken off.

“They’re going to be ugly, but they will live,” Dill said.

A beer bottle found at that scene was sent to the state crime lab by State Trooper Mathew Casavant, but the evidence is a low priority because of the backlog, he said.
