I write in support of Tim Carter, candidate for state representative, District 91, because I know him to be a man of outstanding character who dearly loves his country and has been an effective administrator of Federal Farm Programs.

I worked with Tim during the 1990s when I was executive director of state operations for the Farm Service Agency at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Carter worked under me as director of the North East Area for FSA. In that position, he directed the operations of 11 states in Northeast, which included his home state of Maine. He came to work in FSA right off the farm, and almost immediately acquired an understanding of his responsibilities and the respect of the state employees under his jurisdiction.

I know Carter to be honorable and capable. I believe he would be an excellent representative of the people in Maine’s District 91.
