LEWISTON – Marion P. Green, 75, a resident of Sumner Road, Leeds, died Friday morning, Oct. 8, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks following a long illness.

She was born April 8, 1929 in Sanford, the daughter of William and Gloria (Grover) Day. She attended school in Norway.

She married Nathaniel B. Green, of Otisfield, on May 3, 1947 in Norway. She and her husband made their home in Greene. In 1972, they moved to Gray, returning to Greene in 1984. In 2001, they moved to their present residence in Leeds.

She was a homemaker and also worked in the school lunch program in Gray.

Marion loved her family and the time she spent with them. She enjoyed gardening, watching birds and cooking, she was known as an excellent pie and bisque maker. She was a member of the Frederick Robie Grange of Otisfield for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel, of Leeds; one son, Dennis W. Green, of Greene; three daughters, Patricia A. Lehoux, and her husband, Robert, of Greene, Sharie L. Quinn, and her husband, Edward, of Otisfield, and Brenda L. Dyer, and her husband, Jeff, of Kennebunk; four grandchildren, Jacob Green, Melissa Green, Shonna Quinn and Jared Dyer; one sister, Margaret Hussey, and her husband, Everett, of Norway; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by six brothers, Russell, William, Richard, Kenneth, Norman and Norton Day; a half-brother Francis Day; and two half-sisters, Doris Day and Katherine Tyler.
