Two area golf courses yielded an ace during recent play.

Roger Agnese shot a hole-in-one Thursday at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn. He aced the #13 hole, 113-yards, using a pitching wedge. Witnessing the feat were Ryan and Reed Elliot, Mike Holbrook and Tack Stiles.

Bill Durkin, a member of the Poland Spring Golf Club, notched a hole-in-one Oct. 2 at his home course. He aced the #8 hole, 184-yards, using a 4-iron. Lynne Durkin was a witness.
