MINOT – Police are searching for two men who assaulted a woman in front of Minot Country Store on Thursday night.

Investigators said a 22-year-old woman stopped at the store about 10:15 p.m., looking for a bathroom.

When she pulled into the parking lot, she noticed two men sitting in another car in the lot, said Rielly Bryant, a detective for the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman noticed the store was closed, turned around and saw the two men standing on either side of her car, Bryant said.

One of the men grabbed her and ripped her shirt and pants. The woman told police that she looked directly at her attacker as he was yanking her clothes, then he and the other man ran away.

She watched as the two men got in their two-door, dark-colored car and drove toward Auburn on Route 121.

The victim, a woman from Oxford County, did not sustain any serious injuries and she was not sexually assaulted, Bryant said.

The woman later noticed that her wallet was missing. Police believe the men ransacked her car while she was looking for a bathroom.

The victim was able to give police a detailed description of the man who grabbed her. She described him as a white male with hazel yes, short brown hair and a tall, thin build. She estimated that he weighed 150 to 160 pounds.

She also noticed that he had acne scars on his cheeks and chin. She said he was wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt from Old Navy.

She described their car as having two blue-colored fog lights installed near the head lamps and wheel covers that continued to spin when the car was at a complete stop.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crime or recognizes the composite drawing of the suspect to call Detective Bryant at 1-800-492-0737, ext. 220.
