BUCKFIELD – Martha C. Douglass, 59, of Buckfield, died Oct. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born July 12, 1945, the daughter of Alfred P. and Grace A. (Fearon) Chesley, of East Sumner.
Martha graduated from Buckfield High School, and on Nov. 9, 1963, she married Daniel L. Douglass, of Buckfield.
They lived in several states until his retirement from the Navy in 1979, and then they returned to Buckfield to raise their daughters.
She worked for Key Bank for several years as an on-call teller and then at the Lisbon Street branch.
Her favorite activities were reading, camping and traveling with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel, of Buckfield; daughters, Angela Roberts and her husband, Don, of Poland, Rebecca Anderson and her husband, David, of Mechanic Falls, and Pamela Farrar and her husband, Mitch, of Topsham; grandchildren, Ryan, Donna, Morgan, Daniel, Adelle, Jacob and Samuel; her mother Grace Chesley, of East Sumner; sister, Melinda Johnson, of West Plains, Mo.; brother, Paul Chesley, of Cumberland; sister, Merriel Perry, of East Sumner; and brother, Russell Chesley, of East Sumner.
