OTISFIELD – The town has announced it will hold a special selectmen’s meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, to review cement bids for the salt storage shed.

Silent auction Friday

OXFORD – There will be a silent auction at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, in Boxberry School on Webber Brook Road. The doors open at 5 p.m. More than 200 items will be auctioned. Food will be available. More information may be obtained by calling 743-9594.

Senior social center opening

PARIS – A new Senior Social Center has been established at Cummings Hall at the First Baptist Church of Paris on Paris Hill. It is for any retired senior citizen who would like to spend time with others, and it will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays, beginning Oct. 15.

Many activities will be available, including games, puzzles, videos, book and magazine swaps, cookie contests, Chinese auctions and bingo.
