ANDOVER – Funeral services for Ernest J. Dyer of Rumford Point were conducted Saturday at the Andover Congregational Church, with the Rev. Jane Rich officiating. Organist was Betsy Cornwell who provided special music: “Happy Trails” and “I Need Thee Every Hour.” Hymns included “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” A poem, “I Remember,” was read by granddaughter, Leah Shemwell. Special moments were prepared by daughter, Ernestine Shemwell, and read by Rev. Jane Rich. Several pilot friends and students of Ernest flew over the church in their planes just prior to the service beginning. A reception at the church followed the services. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
