Tim Carter of Bethel is a candidate for House District 91 in the Maine Legislature. Having known him for over 40 years, as a running coach I followed his running career under Ed Styrna at UMO. Styrna recalled Tim as coachable, eager to listen and learn, determined and hardworking.

Tim retains these valuable traits. He applied them well during seven years of service in Washington, D.C., for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Farm Service Agency.

He will listen to and work hard for his constituents as he determines how best to address complex legislative matters such as affordable health care (he supports the Dirigo health plan) and issues relating to the environment, including forestry, tourism and, of course, agriculture.
