DIXFIELD – The descendants of James C. and Mary Ellen Crawford Lloyd gathered for the annual family reunion at the Mountain View Campground on Aug. 7.
A potluck luncheon was served, craft items, donated by family members, were raffled off and, Lloyd reunion T-shirts were sold for the treasury. The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Donna Hanson of Dixfield.
There were 50 in attendance, traveling from various areas around the state and from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Kentucky. Traveling the furthest distance were Scott and Becky Burns of Russellville, Ky.
The oldest member present was William Morse Sr. of Mexico, and the youngest was Brock Pelletier, son of Melissa and Ed Pelletier, also of Mexico. A meeting was held to discuss future reunions. It was voted to continue having them on Saturdays at the Mountain View Campground.
Members were reminded to submit recipes for the family cookbook. Two deaths and one birth were recorded. A prayer was said by Jo-Ann Lloyd in honor of the recent loss of Timothy Capponi.
Susan Pike will continue as secretary for the event and Donna Hanson and Cindy Archibald will remain treasurers. The next reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005.
