SOUTH PORTLAND – Local business leaders and a noted business author will lead an upcoming forum on how to redefine success at the University of Southern Maine’s School of Business.

The USM School of Business executive forum, titled “Success: The Ultimate Leadership Choice,” will be held from 8 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.

Laura L. Nash of Harvard Business School, co-author of the new book “Just Enough: Tools for Creating Success in Your Work and Life” will be the keynote speaker. A new definition of success, say Nash and her co-author, Harvard Business School’s Howard Stevenson, can be built on the “pillars” of happiness, achievement, significance and legacy.

Panelists who will respond to Nash’s keynote include Ron Bancroft, founder of Bancroft & Company, a firm that provides consulting for small to medium-sized growth companies, and Robert C.S. Monks, chairman of Institutional Shareholder Services and partner of the Signal Group.

Registration information may be obtained by calling 780-4022 or sending e-mail to [email protected]. More information on the event is available on the Internet at www.usm.maine.edu/sb/ and selecting “Executive Forum.”
