FARMINGTON – Officials at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington hope to follow the following timetable in their effort to consolidate five regional ambulance services that cover area towns:

• On Monday, Oct. 18, and Wednesday, Oct. 27, the hospital leadership will be available to meet individually with officials from the towns served. Other times could also be available.

• Within three months, a specific regional plan will be developed.

• In January or February, a plan will be in place, and proposed new contracts will go to towns. Some town officials have asked to have the information by mid- to late November so they could factor it into their town budgets.

• In March or April, communities will be asked for their approval.

• By July 1, 2005, the regional system and new contracts should be in place.
