AUBURN – Randy McAllister, a singer, songwriter and musician from Texas, will perform Sunday, Oct. 17, in the Midnight Blues club, 34 Court St. His music has been hailed as being original and innovative. It’s been described as a cross between Doug Sahm, John Hiatt and Delbert McClinton, with a bluesman’s background and sensibilities.

His music is a blend of gospel, blues, country, Tex-Mex, rock and zydeco.

McAllister has released four albums: “Diggin’ for Sofa Change,” “Grease, Grit, Dirt and Spit,” “Double Rectified Bust Head” and his most recent album, “Givers and Takers.”

His performance is part of the club’s Sunday Night Blues series featuring national recording artists. Tickets to this show are $8.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for dinner and drinks; a ticket stub is good for $3 off any entree the night of show. All shows run from 7 to 10 p.m. People can call for reservations, 783-9600.
