NATICK, Mass. – Larry R. Gill, 57, of 162 Longhill Road, Franklin, Mass., died Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Metro West Medical Center after an illness. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Jurgilas) Gill.

Born Jan. 16, 1947, in Rumford, a son of Carolyn (Ames) Gill of Maine, and the late Richard C. Gill. He was a resident of Maine for many years before settling in Franklin in 1976.

Educated in Maine, and a graduate of Dixfield High School, he went on to further his education at the University of Maine, where he received a bachelor of science degree. Upon graduating, he went to work for the National Security Agency in Maryland, and then to GTE for over 20 years as a software engineer, and most recently working for General Dynamics until becoming ill.

He enjoyed NASCAR racing, Corvettes, Harley-Davidsons, and was an avid New England Patriots fan, and enjoyed being outdoors in his home state of Maine. He also enjoyed collecting different things.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Lara E. Rostcheck of Holliston, and Tracey L. MacLellan of Milton, Vt.; two brothers, Kerry and John Gill, both of Maine; and a granddaughter, Noah A. Rostcheck.

He was predeceased by a son, Aaron A. Gill in 2002.
