LEWISTON – Kyla Sue Greenwood and John F. Bate, both of Lewiston, are pleased to announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Ed and Candy Greenwood of Greene. She is a 1997 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed at the Margaret Murphy Center for Children.
The future bridegroom is the son of Jacqueline Bate of Auburn and the late John E. Bate. He is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and attended the University of Maine at Orono. He is employed at Maine Oxy.
The couple is planning an outside wedding on Aug. 27, followed by a reception at Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn.
