NORWAY – Philip Bozenhard and Scott Lindsay, regional biologists with the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will speak on black bear management at the Norway-Paris Fish & Game Association’s monthly meeting Oct. 21.
Bozenhard and Lindsay were guests of the association in March, and are returning to update the club members and others on the status of black bear management in the state.
Discussion will center on the November bear-hunting referendum, and how the department is dealing with the issue. The association opposes Question 2.
The meeting will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Red Schoolhouse at Norway Lake Beach. A potluck dinner will precede the meeting at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
