BETHEL – Following tonight’s special town meeting at 7 o’clock in the town office, selectmen are to hold a regular board meeting.
Agenda topics include endorsing a plan for short-term borrowing in anticipation of taxes, discussing a request for a special town meeting in December, and acting on appointments to the Ordinance Review Committee.
Topics for the December special town meeting, for which a date has yet to be set, concern amendments to town ordinances. Also included is a proposed reorganization of the Bethel Airport Authority.
Other items include a communication from John Laban regarding the calculation of a sewer system development charge, and requested approval of a Lions Club application for a catered function at which alcoholic beverages are to be available.
In routine business, public hearings are scheduled for a liquor license application for L’Auberge Country Inn & Bistro, and liquor license renewals for The Victoria and Pat’s Pizza.
