AUBURN – Byron G. “Butch” Smith, 68, of Lisbon passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, at Clover Manor.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1935, in Lewiston the son of Amos and Glenice (Johnson) Smith.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked for St. Mary’s Hospital for several years in the Chemical Dependency Department. He later worked parttime for Regis Inc. in Portland.
He was a longtime member of the 12 Hour Club in Lewiston. He enjoyed traveling and spending time on the coast.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille Smith, of Lisbon; daughter, Kathy King and her husband, David, of Georgia; son, Rick Smith, of Georgia; and Steven Brown; stepdaughter, Diane Brown and husband, Michael, of Canton; granddaughter, Michelle Brown, of Boston; and great[grandson, Alex Kennedy, of Jay.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepchildren, Theresa Roy, Gerard Goyette, and sister, Gail Hartford.
