LEEDS – Beginning this week, a trail crew from the Maine Conservation Corps will be working at the Kennebec Land Trust’s 360-acre Curtis Homestead Conservation Area in Leeds.

The property is the former family homestead of Gov. Kenneth Curtis. .

The six-person work crew will be in the field from Oct. 19 to Oct. 30. The crew will work under the supervision of Brian Gilbert from the Maine Conservation Corps and Tom Mickewich, Kennebec Land Trust Board member and Curtis Homestead co-steward.
