Incidents

• Oct. 20 – A Swain Road resident reported that someone went through his car between 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 20. He wasn’t sure if anything was missing.

• Oct. 17, 7:43 p.m. – A Hannaford employee reported having apprehended two young shoplifters. After an investigation, two Rumford girls, ages 13 and 14, were summonsed on one count each in connection with the theft of $55 worth of cosmetics. They were then released to their parents.

• Oct. 15, 3 p.m. – A complainant reported the theft of logs valued at $500. The matter remains under investigation.

Arrests

All of the following are to be arraigned on Dec. 7 in Rumford District Court:

• Kimberly Boyer, 35, of Rumford, on charges of theft and failure to submit to arrest, at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 19 at Hannaford. She was released on $200 unsecured bail.

• George Sjostrom, 46, of Rumford, on a charge of domestic assault, at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 17 on Maine Avenue. He failed to post $800 cash bail and was taken to Oxford County jail in Paris.

• Mary Gleason, 38, of Rumford, on a charge of disorderly conduct, at 5 p.m. Oct 17 on Waldo Street. She was not able to make bail and was taken to Oxford County jail.

Summonses

All of the following are to be arraigned on Dec. 7 in Rumford District Court:

• Daniel Bernard, 20, of Rumford, on charges of possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor, on Oct. 19 on Waldo Street.

• Chanda Sanfratello, 25, of Rumford, on a charge of violation of conditions of release, on Oct. 18.

• A 17-year-old Rumford boy, on charges of imprudent speed and an intermediate license violation, at 1:10 a.m. Oct. 17 on Waldo Street.

• A 14-year-old Rumford girl, on a charge of criminal mischief, on Oct. 16.
