POLAND – The Town Office will close at noon Friday while the staff has computer software training.

The Board of Selectmen approved the closure earlier this month.

Normal business hours will resume Monday. They are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. For more information, phone the Town Office at 998-4601.

Spook Walk

POLAND – The Poland Fire and Rescue Department will hold a Spook Walk for all ages this Saturday. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Memory Garden, which honors Poland residents who have died or who have contributed to the department.

The Spook Walk will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Range Pond campgrounds on Plains Road.

Tickets and goodies will be sold from the snack shack. The $3 ticket is good for a hay wagon ride and a 10- to 15-minute walk through a course of spooks, goblins and scary fun.
