PORTLAND (AP) – Jared Aulin scored his second goal of the season 2:19 into overtime, lifting the Portland Pirates past the Springfield Falcons 3-2 Friday in the American Hockey League.

The win was Portland’s third straight at home.

The Falcons (1-2-1-0) led 2-0 at the first intermission, but the Pirates (3-1-0-0) tied it with two goals in the third period.

Springfield grabbed an early lead when Nick Tarnasky tallied the first goal of the game at 4:50 and Andre Deveaux made it 2-0 at 11:06.

After a scoreless second period, Boyd Gordon scored at 5:58 of the third period and Graham Mink tied it on the power play at 7:30.

Portland goalie Maxime Ouellet stopped 21 of 23 shots on goal to earn the win, while Springfield’s Jamie Storr made 36 saves in the loss.
