LEWISTON – Sandra S. Anthoine of Auburn, who has worked at Bates for more than four years, has been promoted to leadership giving officer.

During her time at Bates, Anthoine has managed the Parents Fund and various committees of the Parents and Family Association, staffed the reunion fund-raising efforts of numerous classes, and last year was responsible for designing and launching the Mount David Society, the college’s newly created giving society.

Kristen H. Andersen of Lewiston, who began her work at Bates shortly after graduating from the college in 2000, was promoted to the newly created position of leadership giving associate. She has led the student-calling and Senior Gift programs at Bates, supported the reunion fund-raising efforts of various classes and staffed the Boston and San Francisco Bates Business Networks.

Anthoine and Andersen will both manage a national portfolio of potential donors with capacity ratings of $50,000 and up.

The promotions were announced recently by Vicky Devlin, vice president for college advancement, and Sean Campbell, director of leadership giving.
