ANDOVER – The wedding of Kristen Marie Mitchell and Ty Giberson was held on July 10 at the Andover Congregational Church. John Gensel of the Dixfield Congregational Church, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Giberson is the daughter of Daniel and Debra Mitchell of Dixfield. Mr. Giberson is the son of Dick and Jody Giberson of Dixfield.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with silver and white beads and a long train. She carried a bouquet made by her aunts and consisted of flowers grown by the mother and aunt of the bridegroom.
Michelle McMillan, friend, attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Danielle Sousa and Rene Giberson, sisters of the bridegroom, and Nicky Cayford and Dominique Flagg, friends. Alyvia Lee, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Serving as best man for his friend was Dan Robinson and ushers were Gary Sousa, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Mike Carlton, friend. Jonathan Flagg, friend, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Andover Town Hall.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Dirigo High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. She is a kindergarten teacher for SAD 43.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Dirigo High School and is currently enrolled at the University of Maine at Farmington.
