ORONO – Greg Moore scored his second goal of the game with 38 seconds remaining in the third period Saturday to break a tie and give Maine a 4-3 win over St. Lawrence.

The Black Bears (4-3) dominated the second period, getting goals from Brett Tyler and Brent Shepherd.

St. Lawrence (2-3-1) scored a pair of goals early in the third period by Mike MacDonald and John Zeiler.

The teams deadlocked for about 10 minutes in the third until Moore’s game-winner. Moore and St. Lawrence’s T.J. Trevelyan traded goals in the first period, leaving the teams tied 1-1 at the first intermission.

Maine’s Shepherd and the Saints’ Mark Wallmann each were hit with 10-minute misconduct penalties in the second period and disqualified for the remainder of the game.
