In 2002, a horrific instance of animal abuse prompted me to review Maine’s Animal Welfare Laws. Finding that these laws were unacceptable, I contacted Peggy Rotundo for guidance and was truly amazed by her dedication and passion for doing what is right. Even though Peggy represents thousands of constituents, her focus remained on teaching me the legislative process and motivating me when times were tough. LD 1228 was passed as emergency legislation by Gov. Baldacci in May 2003.
So, how can Peggy help others? She is a seasoned senator who knows what it takes to effect change in Maine. She is a voice for her constituents in the Senate. She will listen to their ideas, and she will give them the attention they deserve.
