I would like to say a few words about my friend, David Pierson, a candidate for an at-large seat on the Auburn City Council.

Dave has been a resident of Auburn-Lewiston for more than 15 years. After graduating from Bates College, he started a local construction business. After 20 years in construction management, he decided to go to law school to start a new career.

In spite of a busy law practice and family life, David has also found the time to serve his community. He has been an active member of the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, the Good Shepherd Food Bank, and spent nine years on the Auburn Planning Board.

David is also the president of the Auburn Business Development Corp. Auburn needs a new industrial park to bring more jobs and new tax revenue.

He will be a positive voice on the City Council.
