On Nov. 2, I know who I am casting my vote for: My husband of 13 years, John L. Painter.
John will be a legislator receptive to new ways of addressing the problems challenging Lewiston and Maine. John is intelligent, thoughtful and able to speak out for Lewiston.
As a naturalized American citizen, I was born and raised in Hungary, I know John personally understands the importance of multicultural and multilingual values, important to Lewiston.
John is a conservationist, in the tradition of President Teddy Roosevelt, doing practical things as an individual for our neighborhood and city. Whether working with Maine Department of Environmental Protection to improve Stetson Brook, or certifying our land around the house through the National Wildlife Federation, John will speak for Lewiston and for our family and cultural values.
