Sen. Kerry is an excellent speaker, an orator in the courtroom. As a high-powered lawyer, he will say anything to win his case or the presidency. He does not hesitate to attack our efforts in Iraq, resulting in some degree of demoralization of the troops and the public. Would it be fair to say that al-Qaida likes Mr. Kerry? Don’t they both want to get rid of Bush? And didn’t Kerry do the same thing during the Vietnam War, discrediting our troops and contributing to our ultimate withdrawal?

The lies and distortions are sometimes laughable, but when you shout a lie repeatedly, some people will believe it. Kerry is good at this, as he was in the courtroom, and so is his running mate. Two hotshot lawyers running the country? Do we get impressive speeches full of legal terms that are meaningless? Do our last major employers decide to work overseas?

The Bush administration has been outstanding and, in my opinion, will be so described in future histories. The Democrats have cleverly undermined the administration from the beginning, by chanting “gotta get rid of Bush” over and over. No reason was given. Subsequently, everything was blamed on Bush, and many people accepted this nonsense.

In a time of war, or of a major insurgency, this campaign against the president is bad for the country. Vast sums of money spent on advertising would have been better spent to reduce the national debt. And all this just to grab power.
