Dear Sun Spots: On Oct. 11, J.E.P.M, of No Town wanted to know what to do about her clothesline that kept breaking.

The best thing to get is sash cord that is used in windows. It comes in 100- and 200- foot lengths. It is more expensive, but it lasts. I have used it for many years. – Mrs. Hollis Lake, Wilton.

Dear Sun Spots: I have not looked at these old newspaper for years so I can’t tell you exactly what’s what. They are in my attic. I know they date back to around 1865. I remember one tells about the capture of John Wilkes Booth. I do not want to give them to a private collector but would consider donating them to a public museum or maybe a college. Do you know of any place that might be interested in them. – [email protected], No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots would urge you to contact your local historical society to see if it might be interested. You might also want to contact your local college library and public library to see if anyone might be interested there. In addition, perhaps readers have some sources for you to contact.
