FARMINGTON – A pair of unbeaten clubs will battle for the Western Maine Seventh-Eighth-Grade Football League championship Thursday night at Mt. Blue High School. The Auburn Recs, West Division champ, will trade blocks with East Division king Mt. Blue at 7 p.m. Both teams are 7-0.

In final regular season action last week, Auburn beat arch-rival Lewiston 18-6, and Mt. Blue blanked AYS of Jay-Livermore 24-0.

In other final games, Tripp of Turner edged Dirigo 14-8, and Gardiner nipped Mountain Valley of Rumford-Mexico 28-26. The makeup game between AYS and Oxford Hills was set to be played Tuesday.
