LEWISTON – Classy Lady Inc. announces it has received a $15,000 grant from Fleet Bank.

Jen Williams, Classy Lady board member, said, “We would like to thank Fleet Bank for this generous start-up grant. This grant will enable us to start helping women get into the workforce. Classy Lady’s services enable women to strengthen their interview skills and help them develop their self-confidence.”

“Fleet Bank is proud to support Classy Lady’s efforts to help women enter or reenter the workforce,” said Roxanne Salatino, bank branch manager. “Fleet Bank is committed to helping women secure economic security for themselves and their families.”

The Classy Lady Boutique, at 165 Lisbon St., helps women entering or reentering the workforce gain the necessary skills and confidence to find adequate employment.

In addition they provide image consultation and offer the sale of gently used business attire. Beginning as a project of the Androscoggin Maine Women’s Network, Classy Lady has evolved into a community project. Several women from the Lewiston-Auburn communities have donated their time, expertise and clothing to the project.
