Two articles in the October issue of “Maine Snowmobiler” caught my attention. The first one was about a person who bought an entire township in northern Maine and closed it off to snowmobiling and other sporting activities. The second article contained the results of an MSA survey questionnaire sent to all legislative candidates. One survey question dealt with land fragmentation, which in cases like the one above, threatens recreational access. Another question was about ensuring adequate funding for MDIF&W.
I was pleased to see Rob Cameron’s favorable responses to these two questions as well as all the other questions asked. Rob’s leadership as president of the Rumford Polar Bears Snowmobile Club and vice president of MSA in western Maine demonstrates that he cares about snowmobilers. Rob’s opponent, Bruce Bryant, didn’t even bother to respond to MSA’s survey. If you care about snowmobiling and recreational access, Rob deserves your vote.
