JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Oct. 26, for Rita Desjardins at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, preceded by prayers at Finley Funeral Home, Livermore Falls. Co-celebrants were Father Joseph McKenna and Father Roger Chabot. Readings were done by Father McKenna. Gifts were presented by her sons, Rick, Jim and Dan Desjardins. Hymns “Peace is Flowing Like a River,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Ave Maria,” “Lord You Have Come to the Seashore” and “J’irai la Voir un Jour” were sung by the Resurrection Choir under the direction of Therese Therrien. Bearers were Brian Desjardins, Larry Turcotte, Roger Cloutier, Renaud Cyr, Roger Turcotte and Gary Woodcock. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.
