Voters have the opportunity to send back to Augusta one of our community’s hardest workers, Sen. Peggy Rotundo.

For four years, Peggy has been unfailing in her efforts on behalf of us all, often working weekends and 18-hour days. Lewiston has been well served as a result.

She has helped Lewiston benefit from funding available to cities and towns. For example, she successfully championed needed expansion of Lewiston-Auburn College and helped our public library get two highly competitive state grants.

At the same time, Peggy Rotundo knows when to be tough, even tight-fisted. She has advocated for improved financial accounting and better long-range planning around economic development. She is a leader on the impact in Maine of trade issues. And she has worked to reduce local property taxes, while protecting essential services for those in need.

We are lucky to have someone working so tirelessly on our behalf in Augusta.
