PARIS – Women in business in the Oxford Hills will show off their products and services at the first Women’s Business Expo on Nov. 10 at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
“For months now women have been getting together to tell each other what they do,” said Barb Olson, vice president of the Growth Council of Oxford Hills. “Now, at this expo, they can show what they do.”
There’s still space left for exhibitors at the free expo, which will run from 4 to 8 p.m. As of Tuesday, 26 exhibitors had signed up with the sponsors, the Western Maine Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network.
Some of the exhibitors will have holiday-related items for sale, said Mariel Geiger, co-chairman of the network’s development team with Beverly Farrington.
Geiger, of Norway, runs NetMatrix Design and Oxford Hills Karate, and Farrington runs Blue Moon Promotionals of Oxford. Other members of the development team are Olson, Peggy Kennison, Diane Jackson and Tally Decato.
At the expo, Eggcettera Restaurant & Bakery of Mechanic Falls will feature a flowing fountain of chocolate, and Razmataz Wood Products & Ceramics of Mechanic Falls will feature hand-crafted Christmas items.
Imari’s Bellydancing will offer a demonstration at 7 p.m., followed by a demonstration by Oxford Hills Karate at 7:30 p.m.
Other exhibitors signed up for the expo include Avon Products, Blue Moon Promotionals, Boxberry School, Carter’s X-C Ski Shop & Center, Crafter’s Cottage, Creative Memories, Dancing Hands Massage Therapy, Dream Travel Vacation, The Vintage Pantry, Tri County Health Services of Western Maine, Gleason Radio Group, Handbags by Ellie, Market Development Center, Mary Kay Cosmetics, MeJeffEmy Editions, NetMatrix Design, Painted Mermaid Gallery, Paris Knitters, Small Business Development Centers, U.S. Small Business Administration and Ye Olde Wordsmithy.
